The Carolina Stomp is an acoustic duo driven by their collective love for roots rock and alternative country. Widely penned as “Americana,” this group pulls its set lists (as well as its inspiration for original songs) from modern songwriters/groups like Ryan Adams, Jason Isbell, The Avett Brothers, Deer Tick, Shovels & Rope and Butch Walker as well as legends like Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and Merle Haggard.
The band is comprised of a power house of regional performers – both of which have maintained successful solo projects spanning the last fifteen years. Clint Singleton (vocals, guitar, piano), and Chris Hodges (upright/electric bass, piano, vocals) formed this group to tell stories through the songs they write and the passion and energy they bring to the stage.
In 2015, the band released a self-titled EP and, in 2021, they saw a remarkable response to their single, These Hills. Both available on all major platforms. They are currently writing and recording a new EP set to release by the end of the year.
